THE ARTIST

Greetings! I'm Franki V. Dacre, a Chicago-based illustrator and multimedia artist specializing in classic Americana aesthetics. I enjoy incorporating history into my work, with a particular interest in early 20th century presidents and politics.I'm drawn to the idea of interplay between the past and present. I experiment with a variety of styles and mediums associated with different eras. I also heavily utilize nonlinear narratives, unfiction, and the paranormal in my writing.In my multimedia projects, such as Dear Clarent, I place emphasis on interactions between the audience and the narrative.
